Jacksonville Center for the Arts " The way it was and is" Floyd County Virginia

The "Jacksonville Center for the Arts"  was  an operating dairy barn for many years most likely built in the 1940's.  A group of Floyd County Citizens in 1995 saw the possibility for an  artisan community. The group took a path that has developed the old barn into a wonderful asset for the Floyd County Virginia community.

This is the other end of the barn in 1955 and it had a big sister barn just to the right of the present Jacksonville Center.

You will almost always find an interesting function at the Jacksonville Center for the Arts. Take a view of the web site and plan your visit.  This is a really great reuse of an old farm building and farming is still a big part of the Floyd County Virginia community. Thank you Jacksonville Center for allowing me to post this information Blog.
